The idea
A booktrailer for the Italian launch of Nathan Filer’s Chiedi alla luna (The Shock of the Fall), told through silhouettes and shadows inspired by the videogame Limbo. I directed it, wrote the music and animated it.
The award
It won the Premio Rai 5 per la comunicazione del libro at the 5th Cortinametraggio, in March 2014. In the jury’s words: “Una costruzione complessa si scioglie in una scelta visivamente elegante e narrativamente fluida”: a complex construction that resolves into a visually elegant, narratively fluid choice.
